Soaps with subtle scents?

Okay, the alliteration wasn't deliberate, but the question remains the same:

What soaps have "clean", subtle, nondescript scents?

My VDH smells like that, and according to its respective topics, MWF does too. Anything else?

some say it has a lavender smell, but it's very, very subtle. Mostly, it's a clean, subtle soap scent.

I have Saint Charles Shave Pistachio Nut shaving soap and I find the scent certainly more subtle than most and quite agreeable.

I second Cella and MWF -- neither is scent free, but both are light and unobtrusive.

I am also one of those oddballs that think Tabac's scent is pretty mild. I agree the scent is not the most pleasant, but there seems to be so little of it, to me. Maybe I got an old puck -- still on my first which I haven't used for months in favor of Cella, MWF and Prairie Creations. PC, btw does have an unscented option which I have not tried. I did try two different scents neither of which I am fond of but can put up with.

I'm not trying to be a spokesperson for Mama Bear. She doesn't need me, her products sell themselves. I just hope you guys don't get aggrivated at me but........

for a subtle soap scents, I would recommend MB Ye Olde Barbershoppe and Ylang Ylang. Both are very light, pleasant scents.

Valobra, MWF, T&H Luxury Shaving Soap, DR Harris lavender, La Toja (this last one is probably the strongest of the listed soaps).

I would never protest to an endorsement of Mama Bear soaps, but her scents are very strong and anything but nondescript.

That said, I think VDH is a good choice.

Cella, Speick, AoS, Provence Sante, Institut Karite... scent is so subjective so this is kind of tough. For example, Valobra is mentioned above and I think it has quite a strong scent. On the other hand, I've heard someone note that Institut Karite has an overbearing scent, and to me it's virtually scentless... YMMV

well...this might be the start of my Soap AD...:bored:

I wanna try IK, MWF, and Cade!

edit: and Gold Dachs, too!

My experience has been that generally speaking, MOST 3x-milled soaps have a much more understated scent than the melt & pour soaps. AoS's Sandalwood might be an exception to that rule, tho (along with Tabac!).
