Do you spice up your shaving soaps?

I know that lot of you gentlemen add menthol to shaving soap for a nice cooling effect, so do I. Sometimes I add also some peppermint essential oil for even more refreshing scent.

I like the mild, clean, soapy scent of MWF and sometimes I like to bloom the soap with rose water to add a nice light rose scent to it, it's great!

Do you spice up your shaving soaps somehow?

If you use a pre-shave like PAA Ice Cube, any soap can become mentholated.

A soap that is too strongly scented can be mixed with an unscented soap to tone the scent down.

I find essential oils can be irritating when concentrated, so mainly use them in very dilute form such as DIY aftershaves.

I have several essential oils in the top drawer of the vanity. Lately I have been face lathering Arko, so I haven't needed to add any lemon oil, and I am not using the scuttle to make it easy to mix in the lather. Lemon, lavender, peppermint... I like to use them with unscented cream samples I have remaining from AOS.

I add Frost Drops to unscented Stirling sometimes

Occasionally I will mix two soaps to tame a bad propperty in one or both of them. I wouldn't replace any of the soaps I do this with, because they necessarily have a problem.

I wouldn't add fragrance or menthol. Anything that I buy more than once, I expect to do everything it is supposed to do, lather, cool, smell right, or whatever else.

My goal with fragrance is to use a good cologne that stands on its own feet, and to have other products that are pleasant to use but fade or blend so as not to interfere with the cologne.

I bowl lather and sometimes I have a little left over of a likeable soap and will add some other soap beside it to see what soap scent dominates the new lather creation, (I like trying different things related to shaving or bored or hate to waste......keeps it interesting:adoration:)!

I have a Mondial soap that must be very old and lost all of it's scent. I doused it with cologne then closed the lid for a few days. Now it's an excellent performing Roma Uomo scented soap.

No, never. I do not like mixing products, whatever they are. If a given product does not fully satisfy me as it is then it's simply not worth using.
Same here. My only exception is if I am in the mood for that menthol tingle, I may start out with Proraso Green Preshave 😃
