Rather than bore you all with my current situation - let's just say that I really need a hobby. One could say that buying aftershave, creams and other shaving supplies qualifies as a hobby but I want to create something. I've been doing a lot of research on the cold process for making natural homemade soap. I'm getting ready to buy everything: the oils, the lye, apparently I need a hazmat suit as well. What I don't want to do is make some boring old soap. Of course I'll make a few batches to make sure I'm getting the basics down but eventually I want to trying something different.
We have all seen the common oatmeal soap, lemongrass, sage, *insert common ingredient here*. But if you could make a unique soap that isn't out there yet, what would you want to do?
For example many of us use an AS and then put on our fragrance - the blending of the two can create something heavenly. Is there some sort of fragrance you are personally looking for you haven't seen yet?
I don't think I'll be putting Dove or Irish Spring out of business any time soon but I just want to experiment with this. I'd like to then send out some samples to B&B members that are interested and give me some honest feedback.
If you think a Leathery Blueberry or Rusty Velvet Raspberry is something you want to wash yourself with, let 'er rip.
