So, Sigs were on sale today

Sig Sauer 226, 9mm. Only came with one magazine, so that was a disappointment, but I got it new for $700 so... Can't complain too much.

I'd glorify you with pictures, but frankly, I'm not sure if guns are popular on this forum and I hope I don't insult anyone. Its actually my first real gun, have a Ruger Mk3 for plinking. And second, its not like its special or anything.

I am looking to pick up a 226 but the cheapest ive seen here in town is 799.

My first handgun, when I turned 21, was a Sig 226 in 40cal. Why 40 cal? Because the same gun will shoot 357 sig ammo with a different barrel and spring...and why 357 sig? Because it is the ammo of choice for many state troopers since the bullet will not deflect through glass.

The sig is a great gun, but the 226 is just a little too large for my hands.

I used to sell guns in Tuscaloosa AL (I used to be Hank Williams Jr personal shopper) and the Sig was described as the Cadilac of guns with a Kia's finish. Mostly because the black nitrite finish will rub off over time.

I prefer them in .45 ACP, but nothing fits my hand better than a Sig, except a Sig with Hogue grips. Great pistols, too.

I recently was torn between a P228 or a Kimber Custom TLE II Stainless. I decided to go with the Kimber because I have always wanted a 1911. But Ill tell you what, the feel of the Sig just melted in my hand. I plan on getting a 226 sooner than later.

P226 9mm here. I bought this gun for my wife, but after I shot about 200 rounds in it, I kind of took it over. The 226 is one sweet gun.
