So my Body Shop brush broke today.

Two weeks and the knot fell out, same thing happened with my fathers one. So it's time to move up to a badger brush. I'm making a trip to Bristol tomorrow to do some early christmas shoppping so after having a look around google I've found a shop nearby that sells badger brushes. Which do you guys recommend of the following two?

I'm gravitating towards the Bluebeards Revenge as if I buy another product of theirs (maybe a shavette) I get a free gift, but if the EJ is a superior brush then I'll buy that and save myself a few quid.

I find shaving hardware to be a personal thing although there are many items that seem to have a common love about them. Maybe it would be helpful to share why you specifically chose those two specific brushes? Budget, scratchy verses soft, badger over boar/horse/synthetic. As for your choices, I have no specific experience with them to share but for the shaving elite, pure badgers get little in the way of love.

I specifically chose those two simply because that's what that particular store has in stock in the way of badger brushes. I'd also like to own a badger brush as I've owned a boar and synthetic. If it doesn't work for me I'll simply give it to my father and go back to a boar brush.

I love my jagger so that would be my recommendation. No experience with the other though

Of course there is no reason not to buy a new brush but how about repairing the old one?
If the performance was OK for you, the knot can easily be glued back in, so that it will not come out again.

Use some "Devcon 5 min Epoxy" (two components mixed just before use). Clean the handle from old glue. Use sand paper to roughen up the surface of the bottom of the knot and the handle where the knot goes in. Clean again. Apply thin layer of mixed epoxy in the handle (follow instructions on package exactly). Do not use too much or will squeeze out once you press in the knot. Position the knot perfectly and hold it until glue starts setting. Let it sit to cure for a couple of hours. It will NEVER come apart again.
