We rarely get any, but this year have had a little bit more than usual. Here are some pics from my back deck.
Funny thing is you can't find I loaf of bread or a gallon of milk on a store shelf anywhere when this happens in Texas.
because it is the end of the world. the sky is falling!!!!!!
There is WAY more than that here in Richardson now, and it's still snowing big flakes. We have a good honest 3-4 inches on cars and the grass, and that's with it being well above freezing all day. It would be a lot more if it was below freezing. Lots and lots of snowmen around. Roads were slushy but not frozen, but it's getting colder fast. If it really does freeze overnight there will be thick ice all over the roads.

I'm not convinced that the sky is/was falling; however, a few transformers blew up (creating beautiful nighttime displays of red and green) and left about 30,000 people in our part of Richardson without power for a couple of hours.
Life became VERY primitive, since I had to rely on my Blackberry for internet access for all that time!
Don't worry about me, fellows, I'm okay now that the power has been restored.

yikes, just going to say be careful on the roads anywhere that's not used to snow. We get lots but still every storm people seem unable to drive.
More to the point, I doubt they have much salt to spread on the ice that forms.

We have sand. On the news they made it clear that we have no snow plows.
