If I need a pre-shave or post-shave thing - the soap is not doing it's job !Shave of the Day_09-02-2025

Well what a delightful scrape ; smooth as a can be with one of my favourite heads; the Mellon double open comb of which I have four iterations.Teamed with the top tier German Wilkinson Sword it afforded a fantastic result with no unwanted consequences.
I have no five o'clock shadow until 12-18 hours later (depending on the Season/Country) or I'm not doing it right.
A BBS to me means less than a 1/10th of one millimetre or 1/250th of an inch of stubble on my whole face and neck and more often than not I achieve it because otherwise the shave is incomplete to me.
Of course I could go lower than that - a la cartridges and disposables but I don't want a red raw face, bumps, ingrown hairs and nicks.
The Olive Oil and the Argan Oil in the soap are both very penetrating and moisturising and produce a very slick lather - the antithesis of the majority of modern soaps.
Not used the Bronnley English Fern for ages ; of course they changed the formulation but I don't mind; it's still fine.
Don't fix something that's not broke haha!
Faster production methods, cheaper labour and ingredients and higher annual shareholder dividends are usually paramount unfortunately ; The customer is never right - the bottom line is king.
So overall I'm happy as Larry.
