Smells Like Shaving Cream?

I like the idea of an Edt that smells like shaving cream. I hear about Rive Gauche as the standard. I remember sampling it a long time ago and not liking it...seemed a dry, powdery aquatic to me, but maybe I'll have to re-visit.

Any other good fragrances out there to try that smell like shaving cream

The Tabac line of products - shaving soap, cream, A/S, EdC all smell similar, if not the same. And they smell great!

I guess the answer depends largely on what you think shaving cream ought to smell like. There are a lot of grooming lines that have matching shave cream, aftershave (splash and balm), EdT, bath soap, etc. T&H has several such lines, as does Trumper, Aqua di Parma, etc. But in those cases, does the EdT smell like the cream, or does the cream smell like the EdT? And, for all of that, do any of them match what you think shaving cream smells like, in a generic sense? I don't have a definitive answer, of course, but one scent that I thought of is Creed's Royal English Leather. To me, that smells reminiscent of what Trumper Coconut shaving cream used to smell like, before they changed the scent, as odd as that may sound. (I never thought the old Trumper Coconut smelled much like coconut, actually; the newer scent is much more realistic, imo.)

It's not quite the same thing, but the Clean line of fragrances, which includes a men's scent, was designed to smell like soap. It raises the same theoretical conundrum - what is soap supposed to smell like, and isn't all soap that smells good scented with a perfume anyway? That aside, the flagship scents are, um, clean and fresh, and not at all bad for modern, department-store type fare. I used to wear Clean Men frequently, before I discovered more classic scents.

While it was a little late, I discovered in a C&E outlet in Honolulu in June that C&E Sandalwood cologne smells just exactly like their Sandalwood shaving cream - just exactly. Now, if both weren't discontinued........
