Singing razor

Today I received the three razors (my first) scored on Ebay. Both the Dble Duck and the Top Flight have a nice sound when I GENTLY run them across my wiskers. They do seem to sing, the Duck more so. The Thistle Cut does not but is hollow ground as are the other two. Is this an indication of needing more hone work or just the way that razor is supposed to be. The non-singer (Thistle Cut) feels heavier than the othres.

All is great shape. Off to the Honemeister!!

If the blade is thicker, then it won't "sing". The singing is caused by the reberberation of the steel as it cuts the whiskers. It ususally only happens in blades that hollow ground and quite thin.
