Just how good is the Simpsons M7 Manchurian? Is this an overrated brush considering the price ($300)? I need some feedback from owners/users of this rare jewel. Thanks.

I have no experience with it, but it sounds awesome. I say go for it; if you don't you'll always wonder what you missed out on. If it doesn't work out there's always the BST...

Is it way better than let's say a chubby2 2band?
I have a Butterscotch M7 that is stamped "Super Badger" but came in a box labeled "Manchurian" and the hair is indistinguishable by me from that in my Butterscotch Tulip 3 with a Manchurian knot. They are both fine brushes, but I can't say either is my absolute favorite. If I were choosing between the two, I'd probably keep the T3 over the M7, not because I like the T3 handle better (I slightly prefer the M7 both aesthetically and ergonomically) but because the T3 has a 23.5mm knot as compared to the M7's 22.5 knot. That's not a huge difference, but it's enough to tip the scales for me.
I got both of my brushes on BST. I don't think I'd pay the price to have news ones. The two M&F 2-bands I recently bought from Lee seem very, very close in feel and performance to me. Close enough that I couldn't call out a difference. They were both less expensive than what I paid for the Simpsons, although the M&Fs have 24mm and 26mm knots. Just the same, I'm really glad I have the M7 and the T3, and I don't intend to part with either of them any time soon.

I should clarify that my M7 Manchurian was a custom order and the knot measures 25mm at the base with a loft of 51mm.
Ok, so the chubby is much bigger, a closer size knot I would know is my duke2 but its in best not 2band. So i don't think I can compare it to anything I have. I'm not sure if 2band compares but I'm just trying to justify the 300 bucks
I think from post that I have read recently that Simpsons current 2-band and Manchurian are fairly close in characteristics right now. That said, I personally prefer the hybrid fan/bulb shape knots of the Manchurians over the bulb shape of most of their 2-banded.
Therein lies the fundamental flaw in your thinking!
