I haven’t bought a new brush since I got my Simpson Commodore X3 many years ago. Well, someone cleaning the bathroom dropped and broke it (NOT ME). While I was able to get it back together with some buffalo glue, I started looking and bought a new Simpson Captain 2 2 Band Silvertip in Emerald. I’ve now had it for three months and can tell you it is an ideal bowl latherer. That was always my problem with the Commodore, otherwise a fine brush, as it was a bit short for good bowl lathering. That, and the emerald coloring is gorgeous! I got it from the Simpson website for £175.95 (approx $220).
