Normal for the first few shaves. I wouldn’t worry unless it is still shedding after 5-6 shaves or it s more than a couple here and there.

Very normal. Give it some time and the loose hairs will fall out. You may lose a hair or two in the future, but it is nothing to worry about. Enjoy a great brush!

I always lose a few hairs the first couple shaves. I washed the 2 simpsons pretty well before lathering and still had this nasty brown gunk deep in the breech when I squeezed out the remaining lather. It takes 3 or so shaves so get rid of it all. Never had that badger shmegma with my other brushes.

Got the Captain 2's to replace my Emperor 3.
Pretty much a long handle Chubby 2, and I love it.
Still like the E3 but might go on the BST soon...

I've since added 11 Simpsons the past two plus years. These brushes are addictive.
Make that 12.
You'll soon be able to make #13 with all the shed hairs from the 12.
Of all the Simpson's I've had, none have been shedders. They may shed a hair here or there at first but they all have settled down and don't shed hardly if at all.
