I bought the exact same one at Walmart. Can't remember what I paid, but it wasn't more than your Sears price. Works great. I was afraid to go metal, because it might scratch, and/or cause oxidation. Different metals in contact with each other for a long time often do strange things to each other. You could get some of that liquid electrical tap and paint the top of that metal toothbrush holder, though.

The crossbar is stainless steel. Not too worried about oxidation.

I like that style if it were wood. The whole metal on metal thing worries me.

An item found in my Florida Bed Bath & Beyond store is similar to Gary H's find, but in brushed stainless steel (Interdesign #22067). Cost was only $9.99. Holes in the stand head are 2cm. diameter, and as you can see the stand easily accommodates the handles of a Gillette Fatboy and Shick Eversharp injector. The base is reasonably heavy and not prone to tipping over.

I will check out my local Bed Bath and Beyond next time I go by it. I'm still a newb and haven't thought much about a stand yet. I got most of my razors just "floating" in a cup.

Unless of course I procure some more razors...
