What's new

Show off those exotic handles.

I got this Brush with a Desert Ironwood handle off eBay form a guy in Australia. It's a great and heavy brush love :001_wub: the soft Silvertip Badger it lather's soooo good.
Brice C makes them and sells them at a reasonable price. Check out his items here http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZtheshavingbrushQQhtZ-1
I snapped this pic when I first got it beside my C&E best badger for size reference. Oh yea the L'Occtane Cade cream in the back was a mistake can't get a lather to save my life. :thumbdown

just two I like, the first is Padauk with Ivory I made, and the second is just Cherry that I carved along with the bowl and stand.

Thank you Ian, my name is actually what I do for a living, a carver, and the MY part is my initials.
And though it may read as a bit ambiguous I actually made the "Ivory" on this brush as well.

Do you have a shop in Lehigh Valley? That's only a couple hours from me. It'd be neat to come check out some of your work the next day I have free.

And to keep the thread on topic...

Left to right:

Grandfather's Ceramic English Leather brush.
Custom Turned handle by Bullseye. (I don't recall the wood). with a 24mm TGN Finest
Picked bone from BST with a 18mm TGN grade A
Hand Carved Ivory from the Bay with a 20mm TGN Finest

And of course the Fudd, awaiting restore.

disclaimer: i don't own this brush, or this handle...but it gets me sprung.

it's a plisson with a metal handle of fluted, polished palladium.

Bob, you must lather in a shaving mug. I have a long handled Omega professional ordered, because my VdH and Tweezerman brushes are to short for mug lathering. That's why I face lather more than mug lather.
Also, which of the 2 aluminum handles do you like better, the full-wadcutter, or the semiwadcutter? (full diameter handle, or reduced diameter handle) I was thinking about making one like that from white Delrin.
