Short and Thick does the Trick

For those of usthat like both big knots and face-lathering, the Chubby is the iconic brush. It has long been my favorite Simpson, but it has cousins with similar DNA. I recently acquired the M&F in the center of the picture from another member with a renowned collection. A few measurements are in order for comparison to a Chubby 3 (I have several of these and the one I'm using is about two years old). The knot on the M&F is 36.5 X 54 & the Chubby is 31 X 56. The handles are 47.7 and 49 respectively. These are densely packed brushes with plenty of backbone and über-soft hair. Brushes this big aren't for everyone but do create a unique luxurious shaving experience.

Rooney Heritage 3XL Stubby.... This is the one that put the rest in the drawer and eventually into another B&B member's shave den

It's not as big is your monster but I find it satisfies my fat craving rather well even though it is only 30 x 50 +/-

Great collection of chubbies/stubbies. I didn't know any manufacturer made a 36mm knot. My Chubby 3 is my largest brush, and I measured it at 31/55mm.

You'll note that the brush to the right of the M&F is a 3XL; you're right, it's a superb brush that along with the rest of the XL line are simply some of the best brushes money can buy.
