Shaving Soaps you miss?

For me it is the Old Colgate Shaving Soap. One of my Grandfathers used it till the late 1980s when they changed their mixture. I finished a Old puck I had gotten back in 1982 I have some of the newer stuff and it works but it was nothing like the Tallow based one.

So which pucks did you love that are no longer made?

Old Spice....

This is the soap I started with in 1974. I never knew how good it was until it was gone. In the early 80's a local drugstore went out of business. I bought all their Old Spice for pennies. That stock lasted me until about 3 years ago. I just did not know it had disappeared until it was too late. I got about three and a half decades of good shaves out of it though.

More for nostalgia reasons than anything else, but Wilkinson Sword shaving soap in the black bowl. I went through a couple bowls of that in the early 'aughts. Used to find it all over the place and now I haven't seen it at all. I've been able to find the blue bowl, but it's just not the same.

Yardley. Pen's tallow-based English Fern & Blenheim Bouquet. Floris's tallow soaps (that I never got to try!). And yes, Old Spice.

when i used to work at drug fair back in the bad old days they still carried the colgate soap. when the old guys learned it was being discontinued and we'd stop carrying they came out of the woodwork to buy that stuff.

When I started shaving as a teen I used the old Colgate soap. I don't remember it as being all that spectacular, but I'd like to try it again for the nostalgia.
