Shave mirror?

Does anyone have any recommendations for a countertop style magnifying mirror?

Many of the ones I've looked at are either insanely expensive for what they are, or really crappy in design. Any recommendations would be appreciated!

With age, my eyesight is slowly getting worse with time and I find myself 'bending at the waist' trying to closer to the cabniet mirror as I shave. At times, I sit on the toilet seat and use our counter-top mirror (bought from our local Walmart), that has one side normal and one side magnified (10X), that works great for us.

However, I've been 'drooling' to get a a 'retractable / telescopic', wall mounted mirror (at our local Bed Bath and Beyond), that would definitely save me some moderate back pain bending over the basin trying to get a closer look in the mirror. Now all I have to do is get the Mrs. on board with my plan, but you know the old saying..."It's her home...I just live in it".

Try Sallys or whatever local beauty supply store in your area. Shaving mirror, makeup mirror... both are reflecty and magnificational.

Take a look through the cosmetics section of your local Bartell's. They have several types of countertop mirrors. Mine swivels about a horizontal axis; one side is normal, the other magnifying. As I recall, I paid about $10 for it.

To add, yes, it does hurt to bend over the counter to try and get close to the mirror. I almost wish I could put my bathroom mirror on a retractable arm that would allow the mirror to be flush with the wall. My bathrooms have picture frame style mirror. They're just hung up on a picture frame hook.
