BEST YouTube videos on SR shaving?

Considering taking up SR shaving (again!) after becoming fairly comfortable and confident using a DE razor.

Thankfully, we have the "university" of YouTube available to educate us, but of course, there are SO many videos to choose from. 😳🤯

Anyone got any recommendations for videos on how to learn how to use a straight razor?

So far, I've found clips from "Razor Emporium" and "West Coast Shaving" to be helpful, but any other recommendations would be surely appreciated.

Thanks! 🙂

Chimensch's shave-iversary video, it's been linked around here a few times. Keith Johnson has a couple good ones (on shaving, I mean). I learned a lot from watching Paulo Barrasso (an Italian barber). There's one of Luca Dinaro's videos where he gets a shave from Barrasso and he spends a lot of time talking about technique. Of course it's in Italian but it's not that hard to follow.

To add to your Italian videos, I find these videos interesting and think these 2 different Italian barbers are quite skillful. Both have oldworld barbershops, one in Lucca, the other in Rome.

I don't think there are any that are going to help you learn. There are some that might provide some tips about different grips or angles that you can try yourself as part of your learning experience, but essentially watching someone else shave is like watching someone ride a bike; the learning is in the doing.

Having said that, Chimensch's video is the only one I have rewatched.

For honing I like drmatt357, but it looks like he's gone silent. Anyone know what's happened to him? Our own Gamma, Keith V Johnson, is also very good for honing and stones.

For shaving I like another B&B member, Sean Staplefield, and Adventures in Wet Shaving is pretty good to.

A French guy, appropriately named Froggy, is good for restoration

I love Keith V Johnson! Probably the best or at least one of the best Jnat honers right now. Thank you for the mention my friend!
