Shark Chrome Vs. Stainless

Is there any real difference between these two blades? Good things are said here about Sharks in general, and they certainly are affordable.

Let's see what consensus there may be here. I'm very curious myself, as I've used SS Sharks from a sampler and liked them.

Many seem to like them both but say the SCs are preferred. Smoothness, I gather.

Anyway, before I buy 100 of either of these I'd like to read through a thread exploring this.

I've used both and could not find any distinguishable difference between them. I picked up a 100 off of Amazon for $17 shipped.

I think they are very comparable. The SS seems to be a tad longer lasting than the SC, and the SC seem to be a tad smoother, but that's well within the Topgumby making stuff up in his head only due to the power of suggestion and his need to seem like a discriminating connoisseur of razors even though he gets OK results with Dorcos and Wallyworld Personna blades factor.

Of course, your factors may vary.

And I do not for a second discount this. But dang me for a fool if it doesn't beg to be included! :001_rolle

C'mon, fact is there'll always be a certain percentage of any crowd that can't honestly tell the difference between Pepsi and Coke and man, is there ever a difference 'twixt thee and me over on that table!

This appeals to the scientist somewhere in me. And remember that these Sharks are part of a major market segment; lots of people around the world know the Lord nameplate and all the other brands they make. And here, we write to each other!

So, to which Shark shall I switch before 1) P & G abandons blade production in Russia or B) Lord stops printing one or the other packaging?

I prefer the Shark Super Chromes. Very sharp, very smooth. The Shark Super Stainless seem harsh to me. YMMV. The best way to find out which ones work best for you is to buy a pack of 5 of each from WCS or other vendor and see for yourself.
