Shark Blades??

Any1 here ever try the shark razor blades?? I saw a special on ebay, $17.49 for 240 blades. So even if i shave every other day and still throw out the blade after every 2 shaves it will still last me well over a year. Thought about buying it (cant go wrong for $17.50) but i heard mixed reviews. Any1?????
I got a variety pack of 25, and used the merkur, and i am in the process of a wilkinson. Just wonering if its a good buy.

I've used them in my Edwin Jagger DE89. I get 3 or 4 good, smooth shaves. I like them better than Derbys, Crystals, Astras, Indian Wilkinsons, and yellow Gillette 7s. They aren't as good for me as Feathers, German Wilkinsons, or the BIC that I tried for the first time this morning. I'll probably buy some more when mine run out.

I find Sharks to be a pretty decent blade. You do run into an occasional dud, although that's not unique to Sharks by any means. Always best to buy small quantities to sample, however. WCS has 5 for 1.75 USD.

Personally , i like the shark blades (the chromes are a bit smoother than the stainless IMO) but overall, a fairly well-liked blade around these parts. I'd recommend getting a single pack to try, rather than comitting to a large box of blades you're unsure of

Shark Super Chrome is my favorite blade hands down. Sharp, smooth, and surprisingly forgiving.

It gets double extra bonus points for the cool packaging.

I use 'em in my '28 Bostonian, my wife uses 'em in her '68 Lady Gillette. We both love em.

I think ill give them a shot, so far the wilkenson worked MUCH better than the Merkur. Its the first blade that I didnt nick or cut myself with. The Merkur sliced me so bad, that I wanted to ditch the DE and go back to my Mach. Im kind of anxious to try the feathers.

+1...I fell for the pkg. as well. The Super Chromes are pretty smooth blades...my third favorite after Gillette blacks and Iridiums.

Tried it all of last week in my 63' Slim. Smooth, Sharp and good. On par with Greek made BICs

The Super Chromes are sharp and smooth. They're not as sharp as Feathers, but at 16 cents per blade vs 40-50 for the Feathers AND getting 6-7 shaves from each Shark, I find them to be great bang for my buck.

I find the sharks to be a good blade, and I got the 240 of them. They are the half blades, I use them in my Parker SRW.

Since blade use is a very personal thing, I'd just get a small pack to try them out. They might not be a good blade for you. That deal for the sharks has been around for some time. Its not going anywhere soon, so you'll always be able to get them.
