Shape My Beard HELP

Hi every one,

New thread so excuse my NooByness. Anyway, i recently decided to keep a bit of a beard, not long or anything, just a stunnly kind of one. To be honest i am having a Extreamy hard time trying to shape it into the shape i like, when i go for a haircut i tell the Barber to shape my beard aswell and he uses a Cut throught whcih works wonders, however he told me that i would not be able to use it myself, i will just end up cutting mysef alot.

so this is my Isue, i can not shape up my beard, th botom bit is simple on my neck but the bits on my cheaks is just imposible without making a mistake. I used to use Gilete Mack3 but downgraded to a Bic 1 blade thinking that it would make it easier to shape my beard however it is just as hard.

PLEASE some shed light on this isue and tell me what to use to shape my beard,

Any help will be much aprreciated :thumbup::thumbup:

Well, obviously a straight razor would be your best best for precision facial hair shaping. Barring that, a DE razor should still be an improvement.

That's all I can offer though, as whenever i grow in facial hair, I grow it all in and trim nothing...

I don't understand. Are you wearing a full beard, a van dyke, some unusual facial hair that would require sculpting?

When I have a beard, it's a full beard and I've never had a problem with either a Mach 3 or a DE to shave that small area when my on my neck.

I have to say with the above post, I really have to disagree with a straight razor being the best for precision trimming. In small areas, it's extremely difficult, definitely go with some other razor.

Thanks for the replies,

Sorry for my incorrect spelling but i was supposed to say "Stubble beard" so as u can imagine it is not very long, I trim it regulalrly to maintain a length of probably about 1-2 Millimeters long. A good example of how my beard is shaped is the one of Flo Rida,http://www.ampradio.com.vhost.zerolag.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/02/flo-rida-profile.jpg.

And the area i find hard to shape is the top, continuing on from the sideburns.

Maybe this can help anyone further to giving me a solution. Thanks:thumbup::thumbup:

Sorry, not a beard guy, but if a straight is out of the question, would one of those mustache trimmers work for him? I've heard most people actually don't use them, using their DE instead, but I just thought I'd throw it out there.

Thanks, i think that im going to try a Cut throat (open razor). ill let you all know how it goes, Thanks for all the constructive replies
