Semogues and Amazon

As I've noticed that there is a gradual and well deserved push towards purchases being made from the smaller shops rather than big box and big .com stores. I just went on to Amazon to see what they had on offer for Semogue brushes and came up totally empty.

The Semogues on Amazon were sold through americanshavingcompany.com. I bought an 830 from them a while back. But now going directly to their website, all the Semogues are showing as unavailable, out of stock. Vintagescent.com has the best prices on Semogues, and I got excellent service from them, even considering they ship from Portugal.

I just got turned on (boy, that dates me!) to VintageScent. I'm about ready to place a brush order. Can you tell me roughly what their shipping costs and times look like? I figured out the VAT thing but I was wondering what add-on shipping costs do to their low prices.

I ordered a 1305 and a stick of La Toja yesterday and the shipping was 5 euro's. I've ordered from VS a number of times and imagine it'll take 7-10 days for shipping.

What is 5 euros in US dollars? 7-10 days is fast fro Portugal!

I haven't compared, but Shaving.ie is pretty good to deal with (I hear). They carry Semogue.

I've noticed the americanshavingcompany stock on Amazon has been dwindling, they aren't restocking.

Anyway - I've purchased all my Semogues (that would be four in hand and two on the way) from vintagescent.com. Great prices, great service, and you are supporting a B&B vendor.

My SOC was under $30USD delivered to the US. It took a couple weeks and does require a signature upon delivery.
