I, absolutely, agree.

The plastics manufacturer that supplies the plastic for shaving brushes should borrow a colorimeter and scan a whole bunch of vintage shaving brushes, mah-jongg tiles, jewelry and other objects with naturally aged Bakelite and go from there…

A lot of the modern butterscotch leans way too orange.

I bet that there is a colorimeter app for their phones that could get them pretty close.

I have the Mistura with Butterscotch and the Boar with Taj. As far as the knots go, I am beyond content with either one and wouldn't care which one if I had to choose only one. As far as the colors, I have a milder fondness for the Taj as I find the color more aesthetically appealing and calming, whereas the butterscotch is far more vibrant and loud and more of an orange than a butterscotch.

I also have the Ash with boar and the Cherry with Mistura. Wood is wood, and simply cannot be replaced as they have a beautiful vintage appeal.
