What's new

Semogue 620 is a little firecracker

I can't help but smile when I use that brush. I expected it to be bigger but I'm glad it's not. Not only is it a brush that makes lather with ease but it makes some of the best lather that I've ever used. Not only that but it's just fun to use and because of it's size, it's easy to be in full control of where you want and don't want lather. If anyone is on the fence about getting this brush, do yourself a favor and do it. Even the smell vanishes after a few quick lathers. Thank you to all that suggested I pick up this amazing brush.

Next you need the 830 to compliment it, for those times you do want a bigger brush that can cover half your face with glorious rich lather. With one each of those two brushes, I have no need or want for any others.

I'm breaking in my 620 as well and it's a treat. Great little brush that tears up soaps and is great for facelathering. My only complaint about it is the facets on the handle don't seem to agree with my fingertips as much as the 830 handle.... which is circular at the top. The 620 is more of an uneven 6 sided handle..... and I'm used to the round unsided handles for the most part. Still, I can adjust.... it's a great brush.

Good I'm glad that I'm not the only one. It seems to only bother me when bowl lathering though.

I know.... I noticed it while I was working up a hand lather and my fingers were wet.... it just seemed to be more difficult to find a solid grip. I think I'll get used to it..... I just need to spend more time with the little guy :a17: .

Happy to read this thread...... I have a 620 on the way.

You are in for a treat my friend. I'm sure you know but you will want to de skunk it when you get it. One of the worst smelling brushes out of the box that I've bought, however, unlike my Omega's, it doesn't take more than 3 or 4 lathers before it vanishes. Also, if you have Tabac or MWF, use either of those and watch the magic happen.

My 620 (I own it for ca. 2 years) has always been shedding hairs (2-3 hairs per shave). Anyone else has had this problem or do I happen to have just a faulty one?

You can defunk pretty much any brush with one lathering. The secret is to let it sit full of lather till it dries out completely, then give it a good wash with gentle soap, and let it dry out again.

Out of the box mine shed a lot. Since, it's been dropping what appears to be trimmings.

I've yet to find a boar brush that defunks after one lather. Out of the box I clean with shampoo or soap and leave it in soapy water for 4 hours. I then lather and let it sit out overnight and repeat as necessary.

The 620 is a fantastic brush and I love the black/clear handle. It catches my eye every time I enter the bathroom along with my 830! Nice tough little brush with the backbone of a gorilla! I love it!

Funny, I feel exactly the same. I first bought the 830 and I loved it. Then soon after bought the 620. Now I love them both. I use the 830 for creams and the 620 for soaps.
It seems to me that the Valobra soap stick and the 620 are a match made in heaven! I feel sorry for people that don't own and use them and I would feel like a traitor if I bought
another brush these are so good!

I've just starting DE shaving a week ago but chose the 620 as my brush to use with the MWF and I've been really happy with it so far. I have no comparison but it seems to make and hold lather well and doesn't hurt my face no matter how hard I rub if I'm face lathering. I'm hoping it will only get better in time!
