New Year's Day - in an Auld Lang Syne mood... (but much of this gear is 'new to me')
>Valet AutoStrop VC1 / Model C / $1,000,000 razor
>vintage AutoStrop blade (3), stropped on the thinner, light colored, less creased strop (came with a VC1)
>modern Williams Mug in a Hull Pottery OS mug
>Ever-Ready 55 horsehair barber style brush
>Pinaud Lime Sec
Very comfortable CCS to DFS shave. Stropped 10 laps before/5 after. The 'zero scrub' vintage horsehair knot is fine, soft, and very comfortable, but prefers building an airy lather to making anything dense. Not a bug, just a feature.
I got out my dark VB1 strop intending to use it in the VC1, but the easily noticed greater thickness put me off.

Truly awesome quality lather from the soap. Thickly creamy and reasonably slick....the scent and cooling sensation is great!
Shave with razor paired with the blade is getting better and more comfortable with more uses...amazing! Had a very smooth 3pass shave without any issues for a between bbs to dfs/ccs result. Excellent post & aftershaves. Rating 9.5/10. Today marks the day I truly enjoyed using the Push-Button...mostly due to the blade!
