GEM G-Bar / CVS stainless Blade (1) / Proraso Green Pre/Soap / Pinaud AS -- G-Bar first drive versus 3-days growth -- resulted in a close, comfortable, nick-free shave. The G-Bar had more blade feel, and was comparable to my squat head 1912 for efficiency, but if made to choose, I'd take the 1912 because it seemed a bit more comfortable overall. I just picked up a GEM 1912 in gold with the Art Deco handle this weekend and I suspect it will give a great shave next Monday as well. Unlike my DEs, I haven't had a single bad shave with any of my GEMs (MicroMatic Trio, 1912s, G-Bar or Featherweight).
