Schick Type E question

I have just seen an example of this type where the notch in the spring is one sided. By that I mean that one side of the notch is missing allowing the spring to rotate in one direction and open the housing for cleaning. Is this factory or has this been owner modified?

That's factory. I have a couple that swing open. Makes it easy to clean them and load the blade.

To complicate things a bit, I modded my own non-movable spring injector pretty much exactly the same way. For a couple reasons. One, it's easy to do. Two, a previous owner had forced the spring open, and in the process, made it so that it no longer tensioned the head pieces together and would not hold a blade properly. I removed the tab and rebent the spring so that the razor would both work and allow easy cleaning. I guess theoretically I might have ruined any monetary value it might have had. Which isn't much. But I also made it functional again. Which is more valuable for me.
