SAS Today.New Bay Rum

Hello, Men, I was sitting in my living room thinking about a shave when a knock was at my door. Yeah! Ogallala was here! I was super giddy. Got the package and made my way to my shave den. I went for an SAS today. Just one pass WTG.

I used a Van Der Hagen Boar brush, Jagger DE89, and Mama's Yee 'Olde Barbershop Scent soap.

It was a good shave. Wow, the first splash of Ogallala was severe. The burn was the most intense I have ever felt. My entire face and neck became as red as a hot poker. First impression was that the scent was refreshing. I do not believe it has the toner ability like Captain's though. Good product for the price. Feeling the Burrrrrn!

Kirk, a word about that Ogallala bay rum: SHAKE THAT MAMA UP!! If you don't, the fragrance oils seperate out and it can burn like hellfire. Shake it for about 15-30 seconds to get everything mixed again and it's a different kind of AS entirely!

Thanks, Wing! I actually did shake it for a little. Probably not for 30 seconds. It burned like the Dickens. I almost had to wash my face. Laughing super hard. I have to work in the morning, I am striving for a DFS/BBS.

FWIW, I've found that most bay rums will heat you up some. While the regular Ogallala is pretty hot, the BR & Sandalwood is mild as can be for me. Great smelling, too--it's my favorite Ogallala, right next to Sage & Cedar.
