Salter WILD ROSE cream. Opinions?

Received a sample from the Shave Den and used it this morning. The scent was heavenly and the lather was nice, rich, and thick. Nice and close shave with no nicks, cuts, or irritation.

What are your opinions on this one and other Salter creams?

Love the shaves I get from the fresh mint, picked it up because I love anything mint, the scent however reminds me of latex paint for some reason.

Not sure why.

Is latex paint mint scented?

Edit:
inspired by this thread I pulled it out this morning and as always it gave an awesome shave, this time it smelled great and didn't remind me of paint. must have been some passing phase.
I recommend these creams ,they are not discussed nearly enough.

I have heard nothing but positive remarks regarding the Salter, but I have not tried it personally :blushing:. But, would love to "hang out" in this thread and hear what people think too.

Thanks,
Robert

I've used Salter creams for over 2 years. It's been through a couple of reformations but remains an excellent cream. The rose is nice but my favorite is the sublime citrus which is probably my favorite scent of any cream or soap I have ever used.

I love the Salter creams. They are now one of the few creams that continue to buy because they are both an excellent product and good value for money. I think the only one I haven't tried is the Mint because I'm not a fan but I've tried all the others and they are really good.

I use their French Vetiver and it is excellent. The scent is very mild which is nice, and smells somewhat grassy.

I have the Fresh Mint and Sublime Citrus and both are excellent creams. They produce nice, thick lather that provides excellent cushion for the shave. The Salter creams are not discussed as much as others, but I will certainly buy more once these are finished.

I've always dismissed these creams due to lack of discussion as well. Thanks for letting me know that I still have soooooo many more products to try :001_smile

I have tried the Sublime Citrus, Fresh Mint (smells like mint ice cream. YUM!), Sandalwood (the smell of fresh baked cinnamon cookies) and the French Vetvier (the smell of burning campfire).

They are all outstanding creams, with some of the best scents I have smelled so far.

I have only tried the French Vetiver. I recommend it for vetiver fans. I experience the cream's scent as more potent than the average. For me, that is a big plus. I intended to try another Salter cream last time I ordered, but didn't. I'm only guessing they are all fantastic lathering creams. The French Vetiver is.

I may have picked it up wrongly, but I think I read somewhere on here that they're made to the same formula as the T&H creams, but sold cheaper

The wild rose gave my T & H Rose a run for it's money.

The Salter Sublime Lime was a great performer but was not strong in scent. Very thick and rich lather.

I have the Salter Rose.

Its a nice cream. The scent is quite sweet. More feminine than say, Trumpers Rose soap. Lathers very easily and is nice and cushiony. Salters creams are formulated differently to the 3T's and you can tell - they're still high quality, but do feel quite different. I think the 3Ts creams are generally a little slicker and a little better skincare wise. Perhaps. A lot of guys would likely prefer Salters to the other quality creams though, and they probably deserve more attention than they get.
