What's new

Sad note to write.

A team member here is leaving us for the fruited plains of the midwest. She's the one person at work who is excited to hear of my latest acquisitions and forays into the world of pens, razors, and the like. I thought I'd share with ya'll the card I wrote her.

Good stuff, man. Most people would ask for a personal email address and send an email, or worse a facebook chat. Your note adds a human touch.

Makes me want to take up the art.

Not so much an art, for me, as an interest. I also wrote letters to my pastors who both live less than 1 mile from me. Dropping them in the mailbox tomorrow after I apply a wax seal. October is Pastor Appreciation Month, and Nov 1, is Fountain Pen Day... so I get to write a lot of letters these next few weeks!

Bloomington Illinois? I lived there from ages 8 to 23, and we moved there from Louisiana (Natchitoches). Of course, I realize there are lesser Bloomingtons in other states.:biggrin1:

Regardless, I wish I received more nice handwritten notes. And it wouldn't bother me in the least to see the lines deviating from the horizontal.

I use thick paper like that as well Jessy. My solution was to write on a glass table with a lined piece of paper under it and light the underneath of the glass. Works like a champ, although turning the paper over to write on the back side can get a little difficult.

Yeah, I'm not that worried about it. I may pick up some of that Air Mail stationery at Scriptura next week though. Very thin stuff.
