What's new

I really love this place. The operator is becoming more familiar with my face, and is starting to talk to me more like a pen collector than some guy off the street who likes shiny things (joke's on him). He actually showed me their newest venture, which is a partnership with Sheaffer. The new Sheaffer's pens are beautiful, and feel really great in the hand. And now I want a Legacy Heritage. :cursing: (He hadn't even opened the boxes to put the pens on display. But he cracked one of them open just to show me.)

He also stocks Pelikan Edelstein and Iro Shizuko inks... so I know where my next ink purchases will be from. :bored:

I was there, specifically for a card to give my wife on our date night. I almost settled on a nice card with room for writing, when I found the Regina stationery! This stuff is gorgeous! A pack with 8 3x5 cards and envelopes was $12, which I think is a good price considering the quality of the paper. I'll snap a picture of the note I wrote to show you guys later. Using a WET fine stub Esterbrook nib, NO feathering, NO bleed, NO splatters on the textured paper... NO bad properties!

The bad thing is that this stationery is available in 2 other sizes, and sits right next to large boxes of Original Crown Mill laid stationery. :mad3:

Have I mentioned how much I hate this store?

Also, I picked up an 8 inch stick of red wax for my seal (hot glue gun wax... but also works well with open flame)... $4.

Oh, and they have hand made wrapping paper.

And Sailor pens.

And Pelikans...

And it's only a quarter mile from where I work.:a36:

Cool. All that's near me is restaurants.
Not good when you are on a diet.

I'll bet they warm up the debit machine when they see you walking down the street.

Here are some pics of the stationery.

Those look awful, ill take em off your hands for proper disposal
The good friend I am

How noble. I wouldn't want to burden you down with the care required for such an endeavor. So maybe I'll just send you one with some ink scribbled on it.

It must be awesome and bad to have such a cool store near where you work. The stationary looks nice, I would like to write notes and things for x-mas but my writing is nowhere near ready.

I'm glad I'm not you...I'd b broke with a store like that neat me! Love the stationery...can't wait to see it with some ink on it...how was date night?

Pretty darn fun. It was just like we were dating again. Although we had a basic plan, we kinda made most of it up as we went along. Good times.

Also, forgot to mention, I got to hold a Pelikan for the first time. The proprietor tried convincing me there are better pens for the money, and got really hung up on it having a steel nib. Pshhh... whatevs.

I have better pens for less then the M205
But i had tp ebay snipe them, i think pelikans have great value, would love to know what pens he is refering to
And he may be right... if comparing a pelikan gold to a pelikan steel i wanna try a pelikan gold nib, I would love to feel the characteristics compared to my pilots

I have Pelikan steel and Pelikan vintage gold... I couldn't tell you which is which in a blind sample. Both are crazy smooth. The steel may be the smoothest...
