As I think I've mentioned I did have one small problem with my S&W BG380. While it always locked the slide back on an empty magazine, as soon as I would hit the button to drop the empty mag the slide would snap forward. Usually I never even noticed since my habit was two double taps, drop empty while eyes down range and one still in the chamber and insert a new mag. I never let it really get to slide back on an empty magazine.
But when just practicing for accuracy rather than defense it was annoying. Pushing up on the slide lock would solve the problem but that adds a new and unusual step not desirable under stress and also really hard to do when shooting weak hand. It happened with all five factory mags for the BG380 so not magazine dependent. I notice S&W has some newer and different magazine springs so that maybe the issue and if so an easy solution.
