Rooney Heritage Alibaba 3 Band Size 3

I just got myself one of those... Any owners that can provide any perspective? I always wanted the old Heritage line 3 band hair in a cool handle (Alibaba)... This is the original version ahead of the tortoise ring LE version... I am keen to see how she performs vs current Rooney 3 band silvertip or other high end silvertip brushes... Owners please chime in...

I have the Size 1 in the original Heritage 3 band and it is extremely nice and very soft with decent backbone, though I am not a huge fan of stiffer knots so my interpretation of backbone is definitely YMMV. Certainly not as stiff as my Rooney Finests but better than say a Savile Row Silvertip or Kent BK series. It is one of my favorites to use.

What is the measurement of your size 1? I have seen it listed as both 18mm and 20mm. Do you happen to have a photo next to something for size reference?

I show I measured it at 21mm x 43mm but I can double check this evening. That may have been done with a set of analog calipers and I have upgraded to digital calipers.

Interesting. That would be great. I generally prefer small(ish) brushes, but 18mm sounds extremely small. Thanks!

Congratulations for the great brush! I've got the 2-band version from Classic Shaving awhile ago. It's the softest brush I've ever tried. the knot is not big - 21x50, but the backbone is very good. I like to face lather with it.

I am looking forward to it. It is supposedly a 22/47mm knot. Hence it should be in my sweet spot for fan shape brushes. I will post pics when I get her.
