Rockwell 6C - play between cap and plate

I just got a 6C. Got the C over the S as I first want to try it out. And I actually love the chrome look above the matt stainless.

However, on assembly I noticed a slight difference in blade exposure between the two sides. Apon further investigation I think it is because there is quite a bit of play between the cap and plate. ie the posts don't fit snuggly.

1. Is this normal for the 6C?
2. Should I worry about it?
3. Will this be less of an issue on the 6S, tighter tolerances?

I need to decide quickly as I am not sure about the return policy locally.

Not got a C, but not seems surprising. Certainly not a problem on the S.

No, it's not normal. I have a 6C and there's no play. It's my best modern razor, by the way. I definitely would send it back.

My 6C is not as you describe.

Thanks. The play is obviously only there in the unassembled state. Not sure how this can vary from one razor to another.
