Rice Bowl as a Shaving Bowl

I found this at a Chinese grocer for $1.99. I thought it'll make a nice shaving bowl. I guess I could do worse.

Nice find... I use a $1.50 salsa bowl from Walmart. Congrats on the find. That looks like a great "shaving bowl".

I use rice bowl from Pier One imports. One for my MWF and one for lathering.

I use a salsa bowl, it's orange though. I melted soap in my green salsa bowl. Those rice bowls look really nice, will check them out next time I go somewhere that has ethnic food stores.

Rice bowls or miso soup bowls are awesome. Mine is decorative and comes with ridges on the bottom so it lathers very well.

I use the green version of the salsa bowl that the two gentleman above posted pictures of.

I think it's funny that so many of us here use that thing.

This is the reason I joined this place. Without this I'd be spending thousands getting the brand name marketed strictly for shaving purposes products. Idk why it never accrued to me that any bowl will suffice. Seriously...duh! Next time im out ill be browsing the china department. Bowls!

I use that same salsa bowl too, but in black. I use it as my travel bowl....it's lights and pretty much unbreakable.

Yeah, I'd use one of those nifty rice bowels too but I stick with the plastic salsa due to my shaving in the shower.

I bought the salsa bowl from wal mart while traveling, so it is now my travel bowl. My daily shaving bowl at home is a large ceramic latte cup I bought at an independent hispanic grocery store for $1.49

Unless you specifically want a scuttle, any bowl or mug that is big enough for your brush will do the job. Lovely piece!

I got this one at TJ Maxx for only a few bucks, it really has replaced my overly expensive scuttle.

I face lather these days, but I used to use a Tibetan offering bowl that I got for a couple bucks at a thrift store.
