"Respect the Process"

I read the other posting for context, but you should not do such things, I just had a nice dinner. 
Gillette lost my respect with their ill-advised ad campaign a few years ago. I don't care what they think the "process" is or why I should "respect" it (whatever they think that means).
Context, please.
