I understand Gillette had thicker DE bladels before 1929.
I would like to replicate the original blade gap in my 1920 Gillette Old and 1921 Gillette New Improved razors. What about shimming with a blade above, and with a blade below, a modern blade? Or would that be overkill?
What would you recommend?
