That's a joke. Don't do that.
Seriously.
B&B has a couple of supporting Vendors who do replating. Please consider them before you choose someone who isn't a B&B Vendor and just gets word of mouth advertising here.
I can't name them for you for fear I might miss one, but they are here and you can either do a quick search for them, or someone will likely be along very shortly to point them out and name them for you.
So can someone break down approx prices? I just ordered up a Gillette Adjustable that, sooner or later, I'd have replated.
Onotoman, a B&B member, offers nickel plating for way less than $80 . . . rhodium is a different story and is a bit pricey. Above The Tie and West Coast Razors are two other B&B guys who have outstanding reputations for quality and service.

My question, though . . . what corners to you want the replater to cut in order to give you a discount? Properly-done razor replates are quite labor intensive. A good outcome is more than just tossing them in a vat of chemical and turning on some electricity . . . I can see a savings in shipping costs by doing five at once, and maybe a slight "courtesy" discount . . . but I'd be more concerned about the quality of the job and not the potential savings of a few otherwise disposable dollars.
Gents,
i recently read in a thread positive feed back regarding the services of razor emporium.

AABCDS,
i almost read your post as if you couldn't't believe it!!??
Razor Emporium... in Rhodium... they did a real nice job on my toggle, and a fatboy...
For me, I'd do it in Rhodium, just because it's gorgeous and if you ever decide to sell it, rhodium will pull more than nickel. If the razor had been done in nickel originally I'd say stick with that. But you're going from gold to another plating. Black nickel in my eyes would diminish the value of the toggle. Don't get me wrong I like black nickel and have a razor done in it as well. But the toggle is a bit more special than that. I've had some serious issues with Razor Emporium and would suggest Dave at westcoastrazors.com as one of the go-to guys for plating.
I had an Aristocrat (British) redone by these guys and I'm here to tell you, I will never get another razor done by these fools again. Is that clear enough? Can you hear me now? They screwed it up badly the first time and still sent it back hoping I wouldn't notice or complain. I sent it back and when it was returned I had to do the final polishing myself because they weren't sure how I'd feel after the project took so long. IT TOOK OVER FOUR MONTHS!. Really, you sent them a razor you like without checking in here to see who was recommended? All I can say is "Good Luck" pal. Tell Matt that he is personna non grata around here, at least as far as I am concerned. They talk the talk but sure don't walk the walk.Gents,
i recently read in a thread positive feed back regarding the services of razor emporium. Upon reading the positive feed back I sent a fatboy to them for nickel replating. No sooner did I drop the package in the mail and then I started to read some NOT positive comments about them.....
pie decided to call them (I spoke to Matt) and discuss my concerns of reading some recent less than positive feedback. Matt told me he will ensure my satisfaction. He told me a few stories of yesteryear regarding some disagreements with some people in this wonderful site (unfortunate). However after speaking to him I was able to swallow the lump in my throat and raise my chin with confidence that this guy sounds like he will do his best to earn a satisfied customer. Granted the razor I sent to him was less than perfect, but I am confident that I will receive a quality product based on my conversation.
FEEDBACK PLEASE!!!!!!
