Remora No Clip Holsters?

Does anyone have any experience with the Remora No Clip Holsters? They seam to get unanimously good reviews on the net. I like the infinite options for location and cant, but still have some reservations about carrying a gun with nothing restraining it but the waistband of my pants.

Well, I'll be able to give everyone an review in a week or so. I ordered a holster for my Glock 26 and they're running a special to include 2 free mag holders.

I've never tried one, but both of my brothers have them for their carry guns. Neither of them carry very often though, so I'm not sure how well they like them. They seem well made. They definitely stay in place. They seem kind of thick to me, but that is just a preference thing. I think they are a good option for something simple that you can just grab and wear in a variety of different ways. I've thought about picking one up as another carry option. Let us know how you like it when it arrives.

Sounds like I need to order another. I had one for a glock and loved it, but gave it to my dad with the glock. I suggest wearing an undershirt with it though as the material is prone to rubbing some people raw.

Let us know how that works out, I've been looking at getting one for my glock 26 as well, but I have no issues with my softuck so I haven't had a reason to buy one. I know my uncle has one for his S&W bodyguard and loves it. He used it more for pocket carry, and also in his jacket pocket when he is on his Harley. Since they are running a special, I may just need to pick one up.

I have two. Really love them. Let me know what you think. I'm glad to see this company getting more press. Their service is impeccable and the product just great. They stand behind it forever. Really good all the way around. I had reservations about it at first, but not anymore. If I go to a place I can't carry, it's easy to unholster, or to just remove the entire holster and put it back where you want it. That's not something you can do easily with a clipped IWB holster. I had an N82 before this. It was comfortable to wear but impossible to reholster. I sent it back and am more than happy with the Remoras. You can mold them to your gun shape a little, too.

I picked up one for a commander length 1911, also based on the good press. It works just fine, even with a relatively large, heavy pistol by today's flyweight standards. It also fits a Browning Hi Power pretty darn well.

I wore my G26 in the Remora holster all day yesterday, and am very impressed. After a couple minutes I found my sweet spot for it right over my back pocket, and it stayed there no problem. After using the restroom in the afternoon it did take some trial and error to get it back into that sweet spot.

One potential issue is that I have an extended mag release installed on the weapon and with the way the gun sits in the holster that release is right at the lip around the top of the holster. I'll be watching this spot to see if it wears at the rubber material. I was concerned that the holster pressing on the mag release would be enough to unlock the magazine while I sit but that doesn't seam like it will be an issue.

It was not against bare skin. I had a tee shirt on under a sweater while wearing it for the last 2 days. I'll be home all day today so i'm going to wear it without a shirt in between and see how it feels.

I have three Remora's for an LCR, LC9 and CZ75B/Hi-Power.

They're okay IMO. Not great, but okay.

My experience has been that they are exceptionally comfortable, but will move around in spite of my best efforts to stabilize. It doesn't seem to matter where the holster is placed or how tight my belt is. The holster just slips somewhat and needs to be readjusted from time to time. Retention is very good and I've never had the holster fall, but I will not use it for an extended period of time.

They are too big and bulky for pocket carry.

They're okay holsters and their service is tops, but I'm sticking with clips from now on.

I just got mine in and have been wearing it for the last three days. So far I really like it for appendix carry. Being able to adjust cant and it staying put is great. As for the 3-6 position I think there are better options, but I think this could become a staple with the Walther PPS.

P.S. I picked up the hyde version. It has a leather liner makes the holster considerably thinner, a little stiffer and the draw smoother IMHO.

I bought one for the wife's Glock 43 when she first got it. It worked as intended, but I ended up getting her a Stealthgear appendix with a clip.
