Red tip

I just "won" a pretty much pristine red tip on fleabay for less than the cost of a meal at MickeyD's. Poor, fuzzy picture on the auction so nobody else bid on this one and the seller was about 20 min away, so shipping was very low. As I was cleaning I up, I showed my wife. She said this was the razor her father used! She remembered her father shaving with one like it.
So this one is a keeper, no matter how it shaves for me.

I just broke mine out tonight with a feather blade. Its funny how that works. You use something and then someone else posts about it. I think it shaves great, 3 passes with a feather gave me a similar shave to my other razors with 4 passes and a less aggressive blade. Congratulations on the score!

They do have a beautiful handle. I have 4 of them, they all shave great.

I switched to my Red Tip after several months with my HD and loved it. I went to a FatBoy for a couple of shaves and am right back to my Red Tip. I love it, and it is my go-to razor now.

Red Tip is king of the SuperSpeeds, I love mine and I will probably keep it forever. It definitely beats the flare tip SS I have when it comes to close shaves.
