Red Stag Black Cherry Bourbon by Jim Beam.

Hey guys. I tried this the other day and I've got to say it might be the worst Bourbon/ whiskey to date for me. It smells and tastes like cherry cough syrup. I even tried it with coke to no avail.

Am I alone in disliking this whiskey and is there anyone who actually prefers these artificially flavoured whiskeys?

Doesn't seem all that inviting to me, but I'd give it a try just to see how it tastes. I just hope JB isn't going the route of some of the Vodka distillers and starts offering "flavored" whiskys.

I am avoiding all liquors and beers with flavorings added. If I want a cocktail I will mix one myself.

Sweet and very sticky...not enjoyable for me. Even coke couldn't save it.

Anything with an ingredients list on the bottle, or the word spiced, or any other indication of any type of adulteration, is a no-go.

I once had a bottle of 'Spar' Vodka. It had, on the side, a list of Ingredients.

I remember it as clear as day.

Water (60%), Ethanol.

I also remember that it was surprisingly good.
