Recommendations on Bath Soap

I am looking at different bath soaps, such as MWF, KMF, Nancy Boy, Pre de Provence, etc etc and want to purchase a high quality and economical soap, that goes beyond your typical bar soap.

1. I would like it to be large and last a long time and be economical (for example 1 bar to last me 1-4 months).

2. Performance, I would hope it would be moisturizing, even though I don't have a problem with dry skin.

3. Fragrance. I would hope that it would have a good fragrance (example a Rose, Lavender or an Almond scent).

Also I am currently using a washcloth to make the soap last longer but I don't really get the fragrance from the soap on my body. I could use some ideas of a washcloth, loofah or something else to get the most out of this soap.

Of the ones you mentioned,

MWF was very drying to me.
PdP soap is pretty good not terribly drying, but not the best either. (pretty strong scent)
Provence Sante soap is pretty similar to PdP though less drying than the PdP
For me the best I found was the US made yardleys that's available at the dollar store, they are so far the least drying for me of all the soaps I have tried, and are really cheap. These are also strong in the scent department.

I have heard good things about the NB soaps, but the price has kept me from trying them.

Does the scent of the PdP soaps stay on your skin a while?

I haven't tried any others but KMF has worked
well for me.
All olive oil based plus whatever you really want or just olive oil
It lasts on average 3 months for me in a shower that's used by 4 people

I don't find any of the scents from soaps last very long on the body, which is fine by me.
The Yardleys lavender is also pretty strongly scented in the box anyways, not a big fan of lavender so I don't use that one and can't say how long the scent lasts on one's persons.

I have seen big bars of French soap for a good price at Tuesday Morning. Lavender was one of the fragrances. TJ Maxx/Marshalls also has a lot of big bars of French and Italian soaps for good prices.

I picked up some US Yardley soap at Big Lots for 70 cents a bar the other day as well.

+1 on this recommendation. And some of the bars are 10 oz. and will last months if properly stored on a rack and you wash with a cloth. You need to sniff test to find something you like, but it's worth it.

Yardley's Lavender or Almond soaps are both very high quality and cost $1-$1.50/ bar depending on where you buy them.

The English make some nice soaps too.

Get yourself a big bar of Asquith and Sommerset-Lavander.
You will not be dissapointed. It should last you at least a month. Closer to two.

I'd like to know the secret of having a bar of soap last as much as 4 months. My pelt is so abrasive that I'm lucky to get 3 weeks out of a huge triple-milled bath bar. The softer stuff doesn't even last a week for me.

In no particular order

Toms of Maine
KMF (tho they're not high on my personal list)
Green Mountain Soap (run by b&b member soapbox's parents)
Mama Bear's (soap rocks, especially, tho these aren't made by her)
