Nice to see some others interested in these bags. SWMBO bought this one for me from Danier Leather a while ago, but I haven't really warmed up to the idea of carrying it around yet.

You bet. I'll wager a lot of horse sweat went into "ageing" those bags correctly. Kind of Eww!, but they look the business. The straps on both of them were too short to wear like a messenger bag, so I replaced the small ones strap with a .22 bullet belt, and cut a new one for the big bag out of some vintage saddelry, and attached it with antique brass shoe buckles.
