Congratulations on that nice brush Peter. Got any measurements or perhaps another picture alongside another brush for size reference? I'm guessing its an old Simpson brush but I've been wrong before, once.

I don't have it with me right now but i shall post it alongside some of my other brushes for a size comparison Its quite a small brush And i believe it to be an old simpson.

I like the handle on it, but if it were mine I'd re-knot it with a super badger 21mm knot. There's nothing wrong with using it just as it is however.

I sure would give it a try! If it doesn't suit you, proceed to your reknotting strategy. That's one great looking handle.
