Real Shaving Company at TJ Maxx

I would not have purchased a tube of this cream had I not seen it on one of my exploratory trips into TJ Maxx looking for discontinued tallow AOS soaps. No luck on the AOS front, but I found a 4.2 oz tube of Real Shaving Company Traditional cream for $3.99. I see seasoned members recommend this as a great beginner or travel cream, citing its origin from the same facility as some of the big English luxury cream sellers. I whipped up a scuttle for a quick one pass shave just to get an idea as to the performance. Nice, clean, fresh scent which I read is tea tree. In a way it reminded me of Maca Root shave cream, but less floral and less intense. It whipped up quickly, taking a decent amount of water. Very good slickness and good to very good cushion. The scent is lingering a little 30 mins later. Face feels moisturized post shave. I would recommend this over Kiss my Face creams, but maybe not over Godrej due to my preference for lanolin creams. I got the last one in the Ft. Myers store, so don't run over there, and I am not sure I got the best price possible on this tube, but if you see it for less than $5, it is worth it!

Thanks for the heads up, I might have to look at some of the TJ Maxx locations up here in the Clearwater area. Around where in the store was it located?

Beauty section. There are usually soaps, shampoos, and fragrances in this section and it is near the fitting rooms in both stores I frequent.

If you don't have one around you, RSC is usually available at Rite Aid/CVS stores as well at a similar price (I mention the price thing not to say that what the OP bought it for isn't a good deal, just to say that if you have a Rite Aid or CVS close by its worth looking there as well)

I'm glad you commented on the price. The tag said "Compare at $8," and Amazon and other online retailers get closer to $15 shipped, but I know others have posted cheaper at CVS and Rite Aid. Does anyone know the current drugstore price? Apparently it is crazy cheap in the UK.

EDIT: As I read more about it, seems there is a good reason it reminded me of Maca Root - it is made by the same folks! I also see prices of $5-6 for the tube at Rite Aid.

It is especially cheap if bought straight from the manufacturer

They also make the T&H Authentic No.10 http://beautyatcreightons.com/engine/shop/brand/Truefitt+&+Hill with the shaving cream at £5 a tub compared with £8 everywhere else.

Thanks! With the Palmolive stick and this cream, the UK has some of the best values in traditional soaps and creams.

I'd love to try some of this, but sadly there are no Rite Aid stores in Texas. We do have CVS, but I've never seen it there. May have to try TJ Maxx as well.

RSC Moisturizing is a great cream! I love the scent and the performance. I think the Moisturizing has been discontinued, though, and they now just have a "Traditional" cream, supposedly with an almond scent. I haven't tried that one, although I'm sure performance is the same.

As far as I know, CVS does not carry Real Shaving Co. products, but the Rite Aid chain does. I frequently see the shaving cream on sale for under $5.00. It's good stuff...nothing exciting and exotic, but it does the job well.
