Razors with Weights in Grams (photo heavy)

Took some pictures of razors on a scale so people can get an idea of weights of different models.

I am sure that it has been done before, but I think it is nice to find a "weight" thread, as I am always looking for the weight, as I prefer a heavier razor. I wish that all where the weight of the Parker, that is reason number one I will be ordering some new handles from BRW once he is open for business again.

I hope that this post helps, and please feel free to post pictures of your razors if you have a scale.

The heads look like Merkurs I guess, the only Merkur I have is a Progress and I think its my favorite.

Don't you have a similar scale? Take some pics of the Sabi's on the scale, as I would love to see their weight, and also weight with R41 head.

This is timely.

I just acquired a pair of Gillette news, both long and short comb. The short comb head seemed remarkable heavier than the long comb version. By the looks of the New and Improved. it would be heaviest of all.

Possibly your heavy short-comb is a NEW Deluxe? Is the underside of the plate flat?

Wow, I just looked up that razor and the shaveabuck website states that it is stainless steel. I can't believe a razor with that weight at that price is stainless steel! How does it shave?

I used the T2 yesterday, it shaves closer to me than an 89 head.

At a 119 grams, that is changing the way weight just a little

Look what happens if you have a Model 41 Head (2010 Mühle R41 and Merkur 1904 OC) on this bad boy.

126 grams is like the weight of two average razors!!!
