What's new

razor stand

unrtil Shane is back in production, I drew up this, and am currently waiting for a local acrylic firm to cut it for me, will post pics when completed, designed to hold 12 "normal" DE razors, 2 oversized ones (vision & futur), a merkur moustache & eyebrow razor, and a mach 3 AOS handle.

if anyone wants the visio document I used to draw this up, pm me and I will email it.

looks great, I was thinking about something like this but half the size to hold around 6 razors. Will keep an eye on this thread!

Here it is, pics attached, the spare holes are for the replated heads and custom handles Bob is making for me, as well as a new Pils, and space for the new iKONS when they are available next year !

I may have another one made, with a cut out for a single brush (for drying) used that day.

i fly sydney, mel, bris twice a week which means 4.30 am wakeups for a 6.15am flight, the mach 3 is for shaving in the shower on those days, I prep well will musgo cream and a brush though . . .

May I be so rude as to ask how much that cost to be made up ??? :blushing:

( I have some things I want made up )

hey fidjit, no probs, a local small plastic/acrylic business in melbourne, cost me $80, I didn't shop around, so it may have been a bit cheaper elsewhere.

Nice looking stand! But I am curious about something, though. With the razors so close together how do you gracefully one them from the stand?

Great work thanks for posting up the picture! :)

That's pretty much on target to what I'd create if I was to get a custom one made up, price isn't too bad for a custom one off piece ...

But you could have gone for this bad boy:

Now that'll hold a proper razor collection!:lol::lol:

i used a single row test tube stand, but my bathroom is not a laboratory, and the multiple row ones do not have adequate spacing for the razor heads . .

That is exactly what I have been looking for! The hunt begins for someone who can make it locally.:001_smile

I agree somewhat with JP here. This a very nice stand. Personally, I think I would have spaced the holes far enough apart for the razor heads to rotate 360 degrees and not bump each other. However, the stand would then take up more counter space, and that could be a problem.
