Razor Revamp

I was PIFed a Gillette Slim from a very gentleman on the forum by the name of windrider. Although it is my very first DE razor, I really like it. It has probably seen days that were a bit better, but it's still a thing of beauty to me. While furthering my knowledge of my new hobby I came across the website that I posted below this paragraph. I'm thinking of doing the Rhodium finish on my new razor. Is this worth it? Is there a better place to have this procedure done? Should I wait until I get a more expensive sought after razor? What are your thoughts?

I think that stuff is all about the value to YOU. If you treasure it and want to restore it, those guys do a good job from what I've seen.

I must admit I have no experience with having a razor replated but there are a few guys on this board who have a better reputation than Razor Emporium.

The end result will depend on the razor you start with, plating is very thin.

I would do some research searching around here. I'm sure Razor Emporium has some success stories to share, but there have been a few on this board that had less than pleasant experiences with them.

Check out the Hobbyist forum. Lot's of good people that do replating in there.
