Razor Blade Suggestions Needed

I am looking to create my own sample pack and needing suggestions. This is going to be my first shave with a DE Razor so what I am looking for is a mild blade, medium blade. I am going to get some Feathers too (Will be saved until I get my technique down though.)

Whats yall suggestion on a mild and medium blade to start with?

Wheres the best place to order blades?

Derby Extra's and Personna's are nice and mild blades for starting.
But that depends of your razor. What is the razor that you have?

And about ordering... Where on Earth are you from? Europe? USA?

There are a ton of good places to get blades on the internet; Shaveabuck.com, WestCoastShaving, Bullgoose, Bestgroomingtools, etc. If I had to pick individual packs I'd say Red Personnas, Super Iridiums, Gillette 7 O'clock Permasharps (Green box, made in India, not the green from Russia), and honestly, you could use the Feathers without any difficulty.

To be frank, though, you may as well just save yourself the hassle of making your own and order one of Bullgoose's samplers. They are fantastic.

+1. Vidyut Supermax Super Stainless are also a nice mild blade. What ever blade you go for, make sure you stick to that one brand until you have your technique well practised.

You can make your own sample as I did:

Personna Red
Crystal
Shark (both varities)
Astrra
Bolzano
Iridium
Feather

I got a first sample from WCS and then added Shark, Bolzano, and Iridium from BullGoose.

I'm in the US and will be using a Gillette 40's Superspeed

I find that Astra SP and Red Personnas (Israeli) work quite well in a superspeed.
