Sharp blade recommendations.

A while back I was informed that my Gillette Tech Flat Bottom is regarded as a mild razor, and because of this maybe I should try "sharp" blades. Therefore what do you recommend?

I'm aware of the Feather New Hi-Stainless being regarded as a sharp blade,. And I also saw this, but I'm a bit bamboozled by what it all means!
My Blade Sharpness Thread is growing, and I want to keep it from getting too cluttered. With that in mind, I am creating this thread to make the raw measurement data available and house the current index.

Any further recommendations are welcome, thank you.

The German Wilkinson Sword Classic, the American Personna Comfort Coated, and the Ladas are the sharpest blades I have tested after the Feather. They are all worth trying.

Gillette Silver Blues
Certain 7 o'clocks
Nacets
Kai
Feather

BIC Chrome Platinum are fairly sharp, but only after the first shave. Some theorize you need to smooth out the coating.
In any case, they are, without question, the longest lasting blade I've encountered and probably my overall favorite. I have a rough beard and shave my head and can get 6-8 shaves per blade.

The key to the Tech version of razors is to find a blade that matches the geometry of the particular razor you have. I use adjustables to avoid the problem. I found a Nacet to be horrible in my Tech, pulled like crazy and didn't give me good shave for instance, but a 7am Platinum worked great. The actual edge to edge width varies a little, and if the particular razor is a little on the wide side of tolerance and the blade in use is on the narrow side, it's not going to shave well.

That said, otherwise there are plenty of "sharp" blades -- anything PPI, BIC chrome-platinum, anything Personna (my favorites, been using them on and off for 50 years). Biggest difference is longevity for me, not sharpness. Any blade I've used so far is sharp on the first shave, but some last a long time and some don't. The only blades that feel dull to me are Derby Extras, and since I tried the first, that is likely due to my inexperience and not using an adjustable razor.. Like Lord blades I think they require a steeper shaving angle that I use with PPI blades.

I'd advise buying a sampler pack, either individual blades or single tucks and try some out.

Permasharp, Gillette Silver Blue, Gillette Platinum, Lord/Sotraco Shark Super Chrome.
Out of those, Permasharp and Silver Blue are probably the ones gentler on my skin.

King C Gillette - very sharp and very long-lasting, but also very expensive ($0.55)
Kai - slightly wider than the Feather and thus more aggressive ($0.40)
Feather - the standard of comparison for sharpness ($0.35)
Nacet - not quite as sharp but much cheaper ($0.15)
Astra Platnium - sharp and very cheap, but for me, it has half the life of a Feather ($0.10)
Suneko - This Chinese blade is my current fav, very sharp and very cheap ($0.12)

Perma-Sharp, Personna Lab & Med, GSB, any of the O'Clocks, all very sharp too.

I Waxed The Badger.
Kai blades are just as sharp as Feathers, and they last much longer.
They are also wider and therefore offer more blade exposure, which may or may not be welcome. Good blades though.

Most of the Gillette line up is sharp as are Feathers.

Sharp blades that have a normal price are, BIC Chrome Platinum, Yellow 7 o'clocks, Perma-sharp. I see that Nacet is often mentioned, but I can't define them as sharp, so they are out of my suggestion
